serafina is a 1st generation winery from a 5th generation winemaker. We’re new to Amador County, but our family has a long history of winemaking. My great grandfather immigrated to the east coast from Italy in 1903, and 60 years later his son bought a winery in California.  His tradition of teaching the family to make wine was passed along to me, with the help of a little extra “homework” from the enology program at UC Davis.

serafina is Italian for “fine evening” and there are many of those here in Amador County. The stars that fill the evening sky inspired our winery name and label design, and we hope that a glass of serafina will inspire you, too.

My wife and I look forward to meeting you at the winery so you can see why we say, “Relax, you’re at serafina!”
