Scotto Family mourns the loss of a family member

Robert Diana, born August 16, 1929 passed away peacefully this month from cancer.  He will be remembered for his kindness, spirit and for most of all for his dedication to keeping family traditions.  He worked at the Family winery, Villa Armando Winery in Pleasanton prior to their closing in 1985.  Most recently, you could find Robert helping his grand nephew, Paul Scotto, owner/winemaker of Sera Fina Cellars at winery functions including barrel and release tasting events and mastering the pizza oven on the patio.  In addition to helping Paul, he also was the wine specialist at one of the family owned restaurants in Pleasanton called Forno Vecchio.  Robert is the uncle of Paul’s father, Anthony Scotto Sr., who as many of you know continues in the family wine business along with two of his son’s and daughter.
