He will be remembered for his kindness, spirit and for most of all for his dedication to keeping family traditions. He worked at the Family winery, Villa Armando Winery in Pleasanton prior to their closing in 1985. Most recently, you could find Robert helping his grand nephew, Paul Scotto, owner/winemaker of Sera Fina Cellars at winery functions including barrel and release tasting events and mastering the pizza oven on the patio. In addition to helping Paul, he also was the wine specialist at one of the family owned restaurants in Pleasanton called Forno Vecchio. Robert is the uncle of Paul’s father, Anthony Scotto Sr., who as many of you know continues in the family wine business along with two of his son’s and daughter.

That day added to our suite of event offerings at our Tasting Room. With breathtaking view of the Amador Foothills, Romeo and Amber Lazzarone exchanged their wedding vows, surrounded by their family, friends and relatives. A catered sit down buffet dinner was awaiting them inside. Dancing under the stars finished off this fine evening.
